Carolyn is a film and theater professional in Chicago with a specialization in producing, script writing, post-production, and performer. Over the 2020s, she has moved into the digital, video, and social media marketing.
She recently completed filming her first short film, F.I.F.O., for a film program at NYU, hit 11K followers with her TikTok account @thepettymillennial and won Teacher of the Year for 2023 in playwriting to kids and teens at American Blues Theater.
As an advocate for empathy and elevating new stories and voices, she is excited to disrupt the publishing industry - but mostly grateful to reach new authors and audience members in a new and exciting way.
Jessica Kress is a product designer living in Chicago. She’s passionate about user-centered design and loves to create beautiful, intuitive interfaces. She especially loves prototyping and creating animations for design projects. Before becoming a designer she worked as an engineer for six years, where she learned a whole lot of C++, Scrum, and project management. While she loved the collaborative nature of her work and analytical problem solving, she found herself continually longing for a career that incorporated her love for visual art and design. After a lot of soul searching and taking a ton of online personality and strength quizzes she determined that UX/UI design would satisfy her interests in technology, problem solving, psychology, and visual design. She then signed up for the Designation/Flatiron UX/UI design bootcamp and has been loving the work ever since.
